Elders Center Program Coordinator
Department: Community Services Elders Center
Location: Auburn, CA
Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Elders Center Manager, the Program Coordinator performs a variety of complex logistical, administrative and tracking duties to support the Elders Center. Functions and tasks include helping coordinate and plan Elders Center programs, services, special events, and activities. The Program Coordinator must routinely use tact, poise, and good judgment while communicating with Tribal Elders and external contacts. The Program Coordinator is required to exercise independent judgment and initiative in resolving issues to ensure compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures.

Description:
Under general supervision, the Math Teacher is responsible for educating middle school students in 6th-8th grade. The Math Teacher is also responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and assessing a comprehensive classroom instructional program. This includes using the school-adopted curriculum and the provided scope and sequence of instruction that serves all students with a focus on multi-subject instruction and cultural awareness. Additional key responsibilities include lesson designs, lesson planning, and maintaining accurate gradebook records. The Math Teacher must also promote an understanding of the school rules and the United Auburn Indian Community’s cultural heritage and values. This position must routinely use tact, poise, and good judgment while communicating with internal and external contacts, offices, and organizations.

Description:
The Safety & Security Specialist supports the Safety & Risk Manager in implementing and maintaining workforce safety, risk management, and security programs for United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC). This position assists in the coordination of safety initiatives, emergency preparedness, and facility security operations across diverse employee workgroups. The Specialist works collaboratively with departments and external agencies to promote a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and help maintain the safety and security of UAIC facilities, employees, students and community members. This position requires sound judgment, strong situational awareness, and ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.

The Community Center Coordinator serves as a key support role within the UAIC Community Services department, working under the direction of the Community Center Manager. The Community Center Coordinator supports the implementation and coordination of events and activities designed to strengthen community engagement among United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) Tribal Members. This role assists with recreational programming by coordinating logistics, scheduling, transportation, communication, and event operations. The coordinator works closely with tribal members, staff, and partners to create positive, enriching, and culturally aligned experiences for all participants.

Community Education Support and Success Coordinator

Description:
The Community Education Support and Success Coordinator supports and monitors the educational enrichment and successful completion of programs offered to UAIC Tribal Members. This position works with Tribal Members by monitoring and coordinating community enrichment needs as well as overseeing homeschool non-traditional learning and tutoring programs. This position must provide high quality customer service to members and serve as a point of contact for UAIC programs and services managed by the Community Education Support and Success Manager.

Under the supervision of the Director of Cultural and Community Education and in alignment with the UAIC Tribal Council, The Cultural Education Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing UAIC’s cultural education initiatives in collaboration with the Cultural Education Activities Committee. This position is responsible for helping to lead the efforts in preserving, revitalizing, and promoting the Tribe’s culture, traditions, language, and lifeways. The Manager will oversee, support, and help deliver classes, activities, and events that strengthen Tribal identity and ensure cultural continuity for future generations.
This position requires an understanding of California Native American cultures, especially the Maidu, Miwok, Nisenan, Pomo, and Washoe peoples and their traditional practices, regalia, language, lifeways, and environmental knowledge. The Cultural Education Manager will also work closely with the Committees Department, UAIC staff, external partners, and Tribal members of all ages.
