Gabe Cayton serves as Secretary of the United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) Tribal Council, a position he was appointed to in June 2022. Prior to serving as Secretary, Cayton had served as the member at large since 2017.
Cayton currently serves on the UAIC Feasibility Group, the Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas Management Group, and is a member of the Board of Directors for both the UAIC Development Corporation and Thunder Valley Casino Resort, one of the largest and most successful casinos in the nation. Prior to joining the UAIC Tribal Council, Cayton served on the UAIC Finance Committee, UAIC Enrollment Committee, and UAIC Election Committee.
Cayton is committed to the multi-generational well-being of the Tribe. He often represents the Tribe at the state and federal level as well as before local governments and works diligently to make sure that all tribal members are aware of what is affecting them politically.
Cayton received his Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of San Francisco and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the Gonzaga University.
